Pitlochry Hotels Welcome Etape Caledonia

One of the highlights of the cycling calendar, Etape Caledonia is an 81 mile, traffic-free cycling challenge through some of the finest scenery in Scotland. With a total ascent of almost 2000m, this is a fitness and stamina test par excellence, and is known as the UK's greatest cycle challenge.

The event will take place on Sunday 16th May, starting off from Pitlochry at 7 am. With the event already sold out, MacMillan Cancer Care hope to raise even more money than last year for people affected by cancer.

The staff at Knockendarroch look forward to welcoming cyclists and spectators for the Etape Caledonia, which promises to be an amazing spectacle for all. If you'd like to visit Pitlochry before then, please have a look at our Special Offers.

Best wishes, Liz

Hotels Pitlochry - Great Value Breaks For Spring

To tempt you to visit us for the first time, or to return if you've stayed before, we have put together a Spring Break offer which we hope you agree is very reasonable.

As you may know, our beautiful hotel, the grand-dame of Victorian residences in Pitlochry, has undergone refurbishment, emerging fresher and more beautiful, but still in keeping with period style. Our chef, Angus McNab, who joined us earlier in the year, has been preparing top-quality cuisine for our guests. You can read the rave reviews we've received on Trip Advisor or Evivo to name but two. Why not come and see, taste and judge for yourself?

During your stay in Pitlochry, you can take in a show or concert at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Popular piano comedy duo Katzenjammer blend classical favourites with their uniquely infectious style of comedy to create an original and hilarious evening's entertainment, on 9th April. Also visiting Pitlochry is well-loved folk singer Kate Rusby, who will be performing with her band on 17th April.

Pitlochry Hotels in Springtime

With the onset of milder weather, gardens, hedgerows and hillsides all around Pitlochry are bursting into life with the sights and smells of spring. From yellow daffodils to violet, orange and white crocuses, from the myriad colours of primulas to the purple and white heathers, spring is making a colourful entrance.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre will be celebrating flowers and all things horticultural with 2 events at the end of March. 'Behind the Bamboo Curtain' on Friday 26th March explores the historical importance of China in sourcing many of the beautful shrubs and flowers we enjoy in Scotland today, while a flower arranging workshop on Sunday 28th March shows you how to create a unique and beautiful display of spring blooms.

The theatre also has some family events lined up for Easter including a treasure hunt in the Explorers' Garden.

Knockendarroch are delighted to offer you a selection of special offers this spring, we hope you will come and visit us.

Best wishes, Liz
