Fishing in & around Pitlochry

Pitlochry is surrounded by rivers and lochs. Many of the most famous fishing flies were invented in Perthshire and it is also home to the famous Spey "double-handed" rod. So fishing is a natural and popular activity in the region.

Pitlochry Angling Club uses the River Tummel and River Garry near Pitlochry to fish a variety of salmon, trout and grayling, but individual fishing licenses are available for these waters, so if you are interested in doing some fishing on the rivers Garry, Tilt, Tay or in the nearby hill Lochs in the Clunie Forest, please speak to Heidi at the Hotel, who will help you organise everything.
