Loch Dunmore is a small loch in the Faskally woods just outside Pitlochry. It is an easy walk from town or there is a car park on site. Loch Dunmore can be quite a special spot at the right time of year with lilies on the loch and stunning colours on the rhododendrons on the banks. Unfortunately we keep taking photographs in winter!
Loch Dunmore and Faskally woods host the spectacular Enchanted Forest each October and we would definitely recommend a visit if you’ve not been.
A walk around Loch Dunmore can be looped in with the Pitlochry Dam, Loch Fasaklly, Garry Bridge, Linn of Tummel and the the Pitlochry Theatre.
Blair Castle is only 10 minutes North of Pitlochry and a visit, combined with a shopping trip to the House of Bruar, makes for an excellent day out.
