Uncover the legend of Schiehallion, a beloved munro in Scotland, renowned for its iconic conical form and its role in the development of contour lines. Whilst no venture into the Scottish hills should be underestimated, this is a straightforward walk on a good path. The return trip from the Braes of Foss car park is about 10km and should take about 4-5 hours. From the walk you will get great views north to Carn Liath, one of our favourite munros in the Beinn a’Ghlo range.
Should you not wish to climb the hill, you can get a great long distance view of Schiehallion from The Queen’s View on Loch Tummel and for a closer look, the top of the Highland Safaris landrover trek will give you the view in the photo above.
