Highland Safaris is located in Dull, down past Aberfeldy towards Glen Lyon. This place is fantastic and encompasses all sorts of fun, from feeding the red deer herd in the new Red Deer Centre, to gem panning, to drop-at-the-top cycle rides and private mountain safaris by landrover.
We have tried most of what is on offer at Highland Safaris and can highly recommend it all. The mountain safari is an excellent way to get high into the hills without any effort and pick off some of the best views in Scotland. The mountain view below is taken from the top of the landrover trail looking north towards Carn Liath and the Beinn a’Ghlo range. There are also great views of Schiehallion to the west. Red deer, mountain hare and golden eagles are all possible wildlife sightings. A coffee or lunch stop in a private bothy high in the hill makes for an unforgettable day out.
The gift shop back at base is worth a look and the cafe is excellent. Great burgers and the best empire biscuits in Scotland. We are regulars!
If you want more information on the activities available at Highland safaris check out their website or give us a call for advice.
If nothing else we would recommend stopping in at Highland Safaris for lunch or coffee while driving the classic loop of Loch Tummel (The Queen’s view) , Loch Rannoch, Schiehallion and Aberfeldy – you should probably feed the deer as well!
