Discover Loch Garten in the Cairngorms National Park and witness the incredible osprey nest at the renowned RSPB Osprey Centre. As you can see in the above photo, the dead tree on which the birds nest has had to be repaired many times to stop it falling down.

The hide is set up quite a distance from the nest but there are quite a few telescopes and binocular sets available for use to observe the nest through the many windows. CCTV has also been installed and screens in the hide give you an in-the-nest view of all the action.

We love a trip to the Cairngorms and would recommend combining a Loch Garten Osprey Centre visit with a walk around Loch an Eilein – the classic caledonian pine forest environment of the Cairngorm National Park.
